Celebrating 44+ Years of Service
Ms. Cora Kendrick worked as a receptionist for United Way for Southeastern Michigan for over 44 years before retiring. The organization threw her a huge virtual retirement party. I was tasked with designing the slide deck, email invitation, zoom backgrounds, and painting a digital portrait.
The much-beloved Ms. Cora was known around the office for her outfit coordination: her accessories always matched her outfit, no matter the color. One portrait just couldn’t contain her, so I decided to paint 8. The final piece was printed out on a large canvas and presented to her in person during the virtual party. She also received a digital copy.
